Seetha Devi, the beloved consort of Lord Rama is believed to have bathed in these crystal waters, thus forming the Gayathri River — a gentle flow that transforms into the mighty Bharathapuzha, shaping Kerala’s rich poetry, music, and its very soul.

Seethavanam sits where wilderness begins. Home to elephants, deer, and the soft footsteps of the wild. It shares a border with the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, and lies within the Palghat Gap, a natural corridor where winds, cultures, and stories have passed for centuries.

Within, you’ll find two air-conditioned rooms (Maya & Moksha), a spacious common living and dining area. The ensuite bathrooms are modern and complete, with running water, geyser, shower, WC, and basin — all designed for comfort while staying true to simplicity. Free high speed internet (Wi-Fi) is also available.

Step onto the Ananda Thara, and the Western Ghats unfurl before you. The Seetharkund waterfalls are in full view — a constant, cascading presence. Above, Parnashala, a wooden indoor deck with fully openable walls invites you to breathe with the mountains.
